The SecurLock 1.3 replaces your Windows Log-on and manages all your PINs

Admit it. You're one of those people who password-protect your vital data, write the password on a yellow sticky note, and slape it on your monitor. If you really want to protect yourself, why not try hardware-based protection for your data?

One option is a USB security key- or security token along the lines of the SecurLock 1.3 ($129.99 direct). The SecurLock replaces your windows log-on, asking you to plug in the key and type in a PIN number.  Similary, after encrypting individual pieces of data, you can require the key and PIN for encryption.

If you're not used to system to system authentication tools, The SecurLock takes some getting used to. But once you get the hang of its SIngle Sign-On app. which manages all your PINs, it works well. If you lose the key, you can get a replacement from SecurSoftware
