SecurDrive creates
a secure encrypted drive, visible as regular disks, protected by a strong
password or optionally by a smart card. Data is stored encrypted on SecurDrive;
when it is requested by any application, it gets decrypted on-the-fly. Conversely,
unencrypted data to be stored is encrypted instantaneously before it's stored.
SecurDrive seamlessly integrates with Windows® Explorer via My SecurDrive
icon on the desktop. Since the data is actually stored in a disk file, it
is possible to back it up, move it or copy it to other disks.
When SecurDrive is disconnected, either manually or by logging out of Windows®,
the secure information it contains becomes completely unreadable and remains
protected, ensuring that no one can access your confidential data.
Main Features
Encryption: SecurDrive provides transparent on-the-fly
encryption to encrypt and decrypt your confidential data using the AES encryption
algorithm, with a 256-bit encryption key. By using SecurDrive, you can allocate
a portion of your existing hard drives to be reserved for encrypted data.
Resize: SecurDrive can be resized on demand to increase
its size.
Back up: SecurDrive disk file (.ifvd file) can be backed
up to any media like a recordable CD or DVD to protect it from data loss
in case of hard drive failure.
